What I Learned
With my research of my topic on cell phones, I have learned a lot about them. There is a lot to cell phones and how they’ve come a very long way. I learned that cellphones are destroying our society socially, they are making a huge impact in peoples lives. Some positive, but the majority is negative and I think that people do not realize how its affecting us. The commercials may say “its the next big thing” which it is true, but the next big thing is breaking us down socially and we are missing out on opportunities. I’m done bashing on them for a quick minute, they have also impacted us positively. A lot of situations can be taken care of a lot faster, weather its getting somewhere faster, knowing the news, paying your bills, sending a quick email, and communicating with people across the world. I have learned that cellphones have increased the bullying rates in peoples lives, and at least 52% of teens have been cyberbullying according in 2011, this number could have raised in 2015. Also, at least 1 million of children have been harassed on Facebook. People back then have had it a lot harder back then, it was a lot hard to know things and get them done. For example, they could not communicate fast enough to have a gathering, no GPS, or browse the internet. I have learned that cell phones today are not really a need, its a necessity. I chose this topic because I love my cellphone, come on who doesn’t? I also tend to be on my cellphone a lot, and cell phones is something that is taking flight and affecting our lives. Many people depend on their phone a lot and can’t go minutes with not looking at it. Cell phones is a big impact in our society. After my research, I learned that cell phones are really important to the people and will continue to be. I’ve also learned that I should not be on my cell phone as much because we cannot live our lives staring at a phone screen, we should enjoy peoples presence. |
