Radioshack Manager
Matthew. R March 24th 4:39 P.M. When I was going into Radioshack, I was thinking future and how the phone will continue to develop. As I walked in, I asked for a manager, then I was sent to Matthew who has been manager for six years. I asked Matthew what he thought about cell phones developing so quickly? And he said that its amazing on how quickly it’s developing, we have a lot of power in your hands, emails, texting, calling, apps, communicate across the world, Then, I asked Matthew on how he thinks that cellphones will look like in the next fifteen years, Matthew said that he thinks they will get a lot smaller, they will be a little square chips. When you pull the square chip out, there will be a screen that pops up in front of you, you can make the screen bigger or smaller. The screen will be touch, and will be able to move it wherever you would like, Matthew also said that the chip will be transparent. When Matthew said this, it really got me excited on how this could actually happen, it would be pretty cool, and the way that our technology is advancing I think that it could actually happen. Another question that I asked Matthew was, “Would it make society worse? Cyberbullying stop? Will it make us more independent?” Matthew stated that it could make society worse, because people love the new things and the development of the new phones, Matthew said they are too attached already. Then Matthew said that cyber bullying is a dilemma will never stop. It will always be there because people are so ignorant, which is very true. When Matthew answered my question about the phones in the future making us more independent, it was very logical and true. Matthew stated “Of course they will make us more independent, people are already attached to their phones now, imagine when you can pop a screen out in front of you, its all for yourself, of course you will be more independent’. After I left Radioshack, I was thinking a lot with his responses, it left me asking myself “is the future cell phone for the better? Or will it just destroy our relationships with people because we will be so independent with the phones and just not interact.” It’s something to really wait for and see what happens. |
